Packaged Filters |
|
Packaged units are a means of combining individual filter units to achieve a specific function or operation within a single stand alone package. Generally operating and standby units are connected to a common header, with individual isolation valves resulting in a 'Duplex' format is the most common requirement. Packaged units offer flexibility to arrange any number of filter units to meet a combination of unique requirements. They can be used to achieve positive isolation requirements, automate liquid evacuation function or split large flow rates into more manageable quantities. Any individual filter design can be packaged such that either an operating and standby feature is achieved or automation of a specific function is attained. Design data requirements are as individual units but in addition mechanical specifications for valves and instrumentation become applicable. Requirements for skid design, pipework design and pipework stress analysis, in addition to vessel detail, also becomes necessary. |
